Treason

...It’s clear the project wasn’t intended that way and with a few small tweaks could get it to that perfect balance, but until then, it’s a well-structured satire with good performances, all-too-relatable characters, and a tale of caution.

Livin' the Dream (a journalistic journey)

If ever a Fringe show were to be labeled unironically as “charming,” Bob Leggett’s Livin’ The Dream is the one. There are other adjectives as well, of course: fascinating, informative, inspiring… but “charming” is the blanket under which they all rest... - Recommended

Sunbathe in Darkness

It’s so goofy and ridiculous that you’re almost unprepared for when it gets real, a testament to the writing of Adam Cash and Drew Petriello, who handle the balance well and give the audience a message and something to think about...

Aristophanes' THE BIRDS

If you’ve never seen or read Aristophanes’ The Birds, the new Sacred Fools production is a fun way to experience a story that even 2400-some years later, it’s woefully relevant.

...the production is extremely solid with a top-notch ensemble, tight direction, excellent use of music and singing, and smart production and ensemble.

Anna St. Hesia Dreams

Jinny Ryann is captivating as Anna, owning the stage and telling the often bizarre stories with ease and poise. It’s a testament to her talent that such a specific script of imagery is conveyed to the audience with perfect clarity. She and the text are a perfect match.

Unsettling, gorgeous, and with a subtle and wonderful performance.

Pit of Goblins

Not only is Bisschop a truly incredible writer and performer, but his video sections, while sometimes an assault to cover some costume changes, are professional and disturbing – and I mean that in the good way. Pit of Goblins is a blast and one can only imagine what comes next from Mitchell Bisschop – I’m betting on a trifecta of greatness.

Butcher Holler Here We Come

The cast is across-the-board fantastic. Guided by director Leah Bonvissuto, it’s some of the most grounded, honest acting I’ve seen from a company in a long time. With the storytelling style, the costuming, the stellar performances, and a near-perfect script, Butcher Holler Here We Come! is something not to miss. It isn’t a Fringe original, as it’s been performed around the country a number of times over the years, but make sure this is the year you see it.
