Black When I Was A Boy

Watching Cooper perform this piece took me all the way back to grade school. He immediately refreshed the pain, and anger I felt as a young African American child growing up. This show was so well written and performed with such a comfortable ease with the audience. I truly enjoyed reliving Cooper's journey. His story telling ability put me in school with him, and made me channel my own choices I've made to deal with overt racism. This show is timely and could really help more young people of color deal with today's racism. This was wonderful and joyous. Thank you Cooper!!!!
