UPROOTED

A fantastical and beautiful story that takes us on a journey through time and space, all aboard VanessAir. We get to fly back to Vanessa’s past as we learn about her constant moving around the world; the constant uprooting and the effects that had on her.
Vanessa is an amazing writer and beautiful storyteller. Her vulnerability is absolutely beautiful and powerful.

Meet Me In Mizzery

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have their next BFF right here! Lindsay is beyond talented at bringing to life fun, stylized and vulnerable characters, even through the stereotypes. The show is sketch vignette style and Lindsay executed every single scene in a way that just makes you want more. More of her. More of the characters.

Supportive White Parents

“Broadway, here we come!”
Seriously, this is one of the best shows I have seen! Even without the use of props and with minimal staging, the talent and skill of creator Joy Regullano and the fantastic cast; that’s all you really need.
Very clever, funny, heartfelt. Tiny little expressions from the actors and some very specific actions added to the story like sprinkles on a cupcake. This is truly fantastic!
Broadway will happen someday, I’m sure of it. And/or a development into a Netflix series. Either way, I’m a fan and I’ll be there. Joy Regullano is exactly the kind of artist and human this industry needs.

Crack Whore, Bulimic, Girl-Next-Door

Wonderful and powerful! A very relevant piece of theatre that I wish I would have seen when I was a teenager. It would have helped me and probably even saved some. This play deals with body image issues in a world where we are never enough the way we are. Three actors play the same person and I love that. It was so greatly done and performed.

Livin' the Dream (a journalistic journey)

What an honor to be in the presence of Bob Leggett and get to learn about his life and what led him to where he is today. The heart and soul of this story brings you in to embrace and fall in love with the amazing human being that is Bob Leggett.

Clementine

This was not just a look into the messiness and beauty that is motherhood ( which I personally can’t relate to), but a story about one’s identity. Losing it, finding it, and figuring out who we are somewhere in between all that ( and that I can absolutely relate to). April’s powerful story has you think back at all the relationships in your own life. It brings you back to your own childhood and one’s thoughts and dreams. It makes you aware of your lineage, your past, your history, where you come from and how we are all connected. All through April sharing HER story. This was a beautiful, powerful story and I urge everyone to go see it. You will leave moved and inspired.

FERTILE: A Conversation About the Expectation of Procreation

A beautiful, funny, vulnerable and real look into something that isn’t openly talked about enough.
Heather is not only a powerhouse of a performer but also a highly skilled storyteller. Her performance is nuanced and specific and full of heart.
Fertile is a show that everyone should see. For some it the subject matter will ring true, for others it will be educating (in the funniest of ways) and for some it will provide peace and freedom, knowing that their own struggles and thoughts got to be heard.

Leaving Prince Charming

Lara’s show is a must see! She has managed to weave together a powerful story and an important subject matter into a high energy, no holds barred show.
She tells the story of falling in love, the awkwardness of that first time and ultimately realizing that maybe what she thought was love, wasn’t; in the most unhealthy of ways, even dangerous. Lara’s character work is amazing! Her accents and physicmlizations of different parts of herself are fantastic and very well crafted. In fact, the entire play is well crafted and Lara is a very strong performer. She makes you fall in love with her. This play NEEDS to go on tour to high schools and colleges!

Chrissy Meth ~ A Dance with the Devil and a Journey Back to Self

Crystal’s story and performance takes you on a powerful journey into her world of how she became addicted to crystal meth and ultimately what led her to leave it behind. It is beautifully and vulnerably told and simply her sharing her story, gives us all isight into a world that most people aren’t familiar with. And, most importantly, we get to see that there is a human being that simply just got lost for a moment, and we get to know and SEE that human even during her time as a so called “addict” (us humans love to label and categorize ourselves and others). Crystal gives it her all in this powerful one woman show, and her story is one that needs to be told. It inspires to compassion as well as showing us that we can overcome anything.

CORINA, From Lap Dance to Sundance

A powerful story delivered in a powerful way. Corina Calderon holds nothing back in her show. Her vulnerability and honesty is inspiring and beautiful.
Her story will help us judge less and see people for who they really are. To see the human being behind the oftentimes negative label of “being” a stripper. A must see.
