Treason

The entire cast should be praised for their acting efforts, very rarely is such chemistry present between a group of four actors together, if you had told me they have been working onstage together for years, I would have believed you.

Overall this is an extremely sharp, skillful written dark comedy, that exposes a genuine and severe rising issue in today's culture. An intimate and really thoughtful and well-executed production from top to bottom. There is so much potential here that I can easily see this story turned into a full production or feature film.

Easily one of the best shows, I have seen on stage in recent history, this is the type of performance that will keep you glued to the edge of your seat from beginning to end.

It is with certainty I highly recommend checking out this show.

Tattered Capes

Theatre Unleashed has produced another winner. This show succeeds on every level; it absolutely merits your time and attention. It is much more than the flashy effects and cool costumes, more than the fantastic fight scenes and entertaining characters. Crafts has written characters that despite possessing super abilities are relatable. At its heart, this show is a drama about relationships; it is a story that explores hard truths about marriage, relationships, and trust.

Saving Cain

The entire cast assembled does a tremendous job, watching Hernandez skillfully portray Levi throughout the years from his highs and lows is a real pleasure to see. Leah Verrill's performance of Lauralai is one of the most powerful I have seen on stage at the Fringe Festival, if there was a nomination for best actress at Fringe there is no doubt in my mind she would be a top contender. The religious conviction and emotions that she displays are palpable you can't help but be drawn in, all eyes are on her when she is on stage...

Even if you try and avoid shows that discuss regions and politics, I would ask you to leave your thoughts at the door and give this one a chance.

I highly recommend taking the time to see this terrific play.

Olivia Wilde Does Not Survive The Apocalypse

Batter Up: My Brain on Baseball

BATTER UP! MY BRAIN ON BASEBALL is spellbinding. Brett's love and passion for America's favorite pass time is infectious, he takes the audience on a ride that inspires them to think differently about the sport we thought we knew. This is without a doubt, one of the finalist examples of a solo show I have ever seen performed.

Let's Write a Musical

Musical the original songs are a feel-good throwback tribute to the fun 50's era music, the soundtrack could easily belong in the same conversation with past classics such as White Christmas and Singing in the Rain, they are complemented beautifully by Coppola's well put together direction and choreography.

Transference

Truly an excellent exhibition of two gifted actors Jims' razor-sharp writing keeps the audience intensely captivated throughout the fifty-five minutes of performance...

The Book of Briarshire

Kelly Moore has written an engaging, enchanting tale, that showcases not only her expertise with the sword, but the pen as well she possesses such great sense of comedic timing and brilliant verbal sparring throughout the show is as enjoyable as the physical feats performed. This is one of the best that Fringe has to offer this year, and this is one adventure you do not want to miss.

Straight White Men Trying to Woke

The whole of the play is nuanced, questioning, and thought-provoking. That's not to say it's comfortable — Chris sense of playfulness and his expert control of pressure is still at play...

At its core, this show is a fast-paced fluid comedy that forces us to take a hard look in the mirror and examine our shortcomings, and it makes us ask ourselves not when, but how can we be better.

Overall I recommend this show.

TOBINCON

This show needs to experienced firsthand. What I can say, is that watching this show evolve before me on stage, was one of the most enjoyable theatre experience in recent memory.

I applaud the terrific direction by Amanda Stoffel Mitnick who leads Mitnick through the peaks and valleys of the show.

I implore you, add Tobincon to your list if you haven't already, come prepared to laugh, and come ready to be conned but maybe not in the way you expect to be.

Without a doubt, one of my favorite shows of Hollywood Fringe 2019

DOGS: The Musical

The entire ensemble is terrific, from the tough as nails Street Barf who has a chip on the shoulder(literally) to the sweet meek Leaky Eye who suffers from unrequited love and the hardened leader of the pack, who is scared to love again due to being hurt in the past. This talented group of performers commits so well to their roles and really set the pace for the entire show.

Paper Trails

Paper Trails was superbly put together, rarely do you see a vignette performance where each short shines as strongly as the others. If you don't believe it is possible to craft meaningful, succinct, and poignant storytelling in less than one hour, then you need to start paying attention to this production team.

...This show earns the distinction of being one of my "Picks of Fringe."

Sex With Strangers

Center and Ferree' performances are terrific, they share such electric chemistry you can't help but root for them to succeed. Rarely do you see such actors have such a tangible relationship on stage...

Overall, the writing, presentation, and performances in "Sex with Strangers" will hold you so firmly that the inconclusive ending in no way ruins the experience that comes before it, I prefer the open nature ending of the show as like all good books allow you to craft your ending.

I highly recommend checking this one out while you have the opportunity.
