I had the chance to see this show prior to opening during a dress/tech and then i saw it again 1 week later on opening day, and WOW what a HUGE improvement... all the Actors stepped into their big shoes and really brought their A Game! The writing made even more sense as all the feeling and essence of the characters where just oozing from the stage. I thought all the scenes where pertinent to what women in todays world live, even I am not a women, I can feel the realism in these little vignettes and felt compassion as well relating to them as real life people and not a characters in a story. The chemistry was REAL! My favorite characters where the Dragon Lady (Sandi Milne) who I felt so deeply raw and realistic and Kendra (Lara Helena) a powerful villain I wanted to hate, but she was just so good! I HIGHLY recommend to go see this show and get a taste of great acting, great stories and an all around entertaining 45minutes!
I had the chance to catch this show again at the fringe after viewing it in February this year and the evolution of the actors, the power of the story and the enrichment of how the entire flow of the show came across was truly impressive! I am a huge fan and really hope this show gets the notoriety it deserves as it is such a powerful story, that crosses boarders, touches hearts and makes anyone who leaves the theater want question their relationship with they mother, or any family member for that matter. A BIG 2 thumbs up for Maron Doll!
