A Christmas Carol, is an adaptation of Charles Dickens story, that follows an old Christmas hating miserly business man, Ebenezer Scrooge. One Christmas Eve Scrooge is visited by four ghosts, his late business partner Jacob Marley, Christmas Past, Christmas Present and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The ghosts show him that redemption is possible while still on earth. Scrooge is given a look at his own life and the lives of those around him. This transforms Scrooge into becoming a new man who intern changes his own fate. The story shows us that we are in control of our own lives and that redemption is possible at anytime. This production takes Dickens classic story and see’s how Scrooge has chosen to live in reaction to the events around him, by gaining control of money and power. It will take a deeper look at how one must accept happiness and community into their lives.
