Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and the unforgettable songs of the ‘70s take center stage in Broadway’s side-splitting homage to classic disaster films.

Disaster! is a new musical straight from Broadway, featuring some of the most unforgettable songs of the ‘70s.  “Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” Sky High,” “Mocking Bird” and “Hot Stuff” are just a few of the scintillating hits in this hilarious musical comedy with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick.

Audiences and critics are wild for this hilarious tribute to the era of bell-bottoms, platform shoes and the hustle.  With larger-than-life characters, snappy dialogue and some of the most recognizable songs of the ‘70s, Disaster! will have you dancing in your seat and rolling in the aisles.

Performances: March 1 thru 24 at The Gem Theatre. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm. Opening Night Gala begins at 6:45 pm on March 2.  There are an additional two shows at 2 pm on Saturday, March 9 & 16.

""It's something very new and very different from the award-winning One More Productions team of Damian Lorton, Nicole Cassesso and company at Garden Grove's Gem Theater, in the form of "Disaster! The Musical": a jukebox musical homage to the myriad disaster movies of the 70's... just what 70's fans have wanted in a jukebox musical -- well, those who remember the 70's, anyway. It's chock-full of 1970's classic hits, delivered with perfect timing and pace to suit the scenes; with marvelous performances by the whole cast." "...It's a perfect comedic cocktail of catastrophe, just waiting to be shaken...""

"Love, love, love it. I love 70s songs and this one has so many of my favorites. The singing was top notch; acting was great! Love the comedy of it all! I especially thought it was great how the situation in the story line set up the song that was coming up next. It is so funny. I guess my favorite characters were Shirley Winters and the Professor. You have to see it before it's gone! All of the cast was excellent! I love the way they use the entire theater with characters using every part of the theater. You never know where these characters are going to enter or exit. A must-see production!"

"Artistic Director Damien Lorton has mounted some ambitious offerings at the GEM over his past 15 years, but this show is one for the books. The physical demands on the cast are extraordinary, and then they have to make the whole thing screamingly funny."

"Rudetsky and Plotnick’s book winks at many of these Big-Screen exploits, but never out-and-out ‘steals’ from any of them, resulting in an entirely—and an enthrallingly–new work that has the laughs coming one right after the other. So what if it sounds like a touch on the cheesy side?! It’s all Grade-A Gourmet Cheese, and stands as ‘one more’ magnificent “Milestone” for “One More Productions”!"
