EASY TARGETS is for every audience member who has sat in the dark at a bad play thinking they now know what prison must be like. It allows the audience to act out the fantasy of punishing their jailers. A satire of one-person-shows, each EASY TARGETS evening draws 4 short solo shows from a library of titles such as “Keep On Truckin'”, “I Feel Pretty” and “The Greatest Love of All” and then invites the audience to show their “appreciation” by pummeling the performers with rolled-up socks any time they feel bored, annoyed, patronized, manipulated, etc. Each audience of EASY TARGETS forms a pack working to remind the performers, writers and designers that if they fail to respect the audience, they will suffer the sock.

Two completely different shows means twice the fun! Come see all eight pieces!

Now yes, lobbing sock balls at these “easy targets” is great fun, as well as cathartic, but the monologues were so dead-on funny and the performances so right-on perfect, they easily could have stood without the constant bombardment; especially Daughter of the Moon which is as classic a bit of clowning as I've seen in ages. https://thetvolution.com/2017/07/fun-and-cathartic-easy-targets/

Tired of all the political rhetoric emanating from your TV screen and radio? How about all that stupid spewing from someone's mouth and feeling powerless because you just can't do anything physical—or even verbal—to make it ALL just stop?! Want to get that pent up aggression out of your system due to stupidity and rhetoric?

Well "Easy Targets" at Sacred Fools is here for you.

The most fun you will have at Fringe this year! Hugo Armstrong, Albert Dayan, Jon Beauregard, and Scott Golden, cross every possible line of stupidity, racial discrimination, insensitivity and political disgust in 4 truly outrageous America First inspired shorts. So creatively absurd is the comedy and so galvanizing is the writing, directing and performances (in collaboration with the Burglars of Hamm), you may be in jeopardy of spending an entire pay day check on socks! (Which FYI are sold in between each short). Brilliant! Highly Recommended!

The writing was smart, punchy, and felt like it could come have come out of your weird Uncle's mouth. The socks are fun and all are a different size and weight, which provides a challenge to hit the (easy) targets. Each performance is supplemented by special effects and props to further elevate the message. This masterful blend of a one-person show, props, and audience participation makes Easy Targets one of the best shows I've seen at Fringe to date.

Before I go on, let's talk about the socks; proof that the Burglars of Hamm are not just brilliant comedic minds, but also brilliant economic minds as well. Instead of relying only on ticket sales to make money, Easy Targets offers balled up socks for sale that audience members can throw at the performers when they say or do something groan-worthy, which happens nearly every moment of the show.

This show would be fun even if it were bad, but the writing is pointed and the performances are excellent. This is a genuinely hilarious production, and a Fringe must-see.
