Meet Henry Lewis. Everything he touches turns to SOLD. There's one word to describe the 80's; ‘Excess'. The cars were fast, the girls were fast, and money was faster. It was a time where money ruled the world, and everything was big; houses, boats, and egos. Henry Lewis sees property as the way to the top, and the answer to becoming a ‘somebody'. On his journey he makes decisions, sacrifices, and a lot of money. At what price does Henry find success, and can a person ever be satisfied? As the end of the decade nears, an unexpected event will burst Henry's bubble. After all, money is the bitch you take home that never sleeps. Keep a close eye on her, for she may not be there in the morning... High Rise is a New Zealand (true) story with global themes and messages, and extremely physical and incorporates elements of mask, mime, Commedia dell'arte, Buffon and physical forms of theatre. It should leave myself, and the audience, feeling short of breath by the end of its short, but sweet 30 minute running time.

I've seen High Rise 3 times and each time I fell in love with a different part. High Rise delivers a fantastic blend of tasteful humor, artistic flair, and drama. This one man show will have you laughing your butt off and holding back tears; at least for me.

Highly Energetic. Highly Entertaining. Like most successful performances I was left wanting more. This half-hour physical, tour de force had the audience laughing and engaged the entire time through. Cameron Jones will be a star.

To experience theatre is a gift that we often forget we have at our disposal. Obviously film and television has saturated most of our viewing marketplace. However, what is different about seeing live theatre than filmed performance -- aside from the logistics of being in the room with the performer? High Rise, makes it easy to answer that question. Pure involvement and connection. You are not watching this story, you are a participant. The greatest art holds a mirror up to world in which we live, Cameron Jones IS that mirror. Having studied physical training methods such as Suzuki, The Viewpoints, Commedia Dell'Arte, and Clowning it was a breathe of fresh air to see such a captivating story told in a visceral and physical way. The story was clean, concise, and compassionate. If you've not yet had the opportunity to see High Rise, I encourage you to allow Cameron Jones to take you on a NZ journey of drive, determination, and downfall.

When I first heard about this show, I was quite skeptical. A one man show about a real estate developer from New Zealand?! I honestly didn't see how this could be entertaining. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I was seriously blown away and this work of art has changed my perspective on theater. Cameron has an uncanny ability to pull your emotions in so many different directions and constantly keep you engaged. I could see how much effort was put into this show. This show is only the beginning, not only for Cameron Jones, but also for Henry Lewis. Cameron is born to be a star, and Henry Lewis is meant for a bigger production. I highly recommend everyone to see it!

I didn't know what to expect - never been to anything quite like it. In 30 short minutes, Mr. Jones was able to demonstrate a range of physicality and emotions that truly touched all who watched his performance. Bravo!

The show was always engaging and felt spontaneous. Sometimes you laugh and other moments you are drawn into very personal moments. Fantastic display of talent. The performer created a unique and inspired one man play which should be given a wider and grander platform to display his talent.

I've seen this show twice and loved it even more the second time around. You wouldn't think a one man show could take you in so many directions, with so many emotions, but high rise does. Honestly, it's one of the best shows I've seen and I can't recommend it enough. Trust me, go see the show

This was honestly one of the best pieces of theater I have ever seen. I wasn't quite sure of what to expect but I was honestly blown away by what I saw. It doesn't get much better than this for a one man show.

Who would have thought a 30 minute show would leave one really thinking and quite emotional. It's action packed, full of brilliant energy and physical theatre and has strong great messages. This actor is superb and this play has to be seen. What a superb play of quality Hollywood Fringe has given us with High Rise and Cameron Jones. Name to be watched. Fantastic night out. Thank you

Cameron Jones mastery of physical theatre breathes a blast of fresh air into solo performance. Unlike anything you have seen. 35 minutes of incredible. My only "complaint" - it is over too soon. New Zealand's finest come to America.

"High Rise" is a rollicking journey through the cutthroat world of New Zealand real estate. Written and performed by Cameron Jones, the show is a truly brilliant one-man tour de force. In just a brief half-hour, Jones brings to life the world and characters with tremendous energy and specificity - physical performance art the quality of which seldom graces the stages in LA. "High Rise" is a lean, funny, and poignant ride - don't miss it!

I didn't know quite what to expect when looking at the flyer.... (I was looking to fill time before another show) But I was simply BLOWN AWAY! This is one of the best shows I've seen at the festival this year (I have seen a dozen!) and one of the most original pieces on offer at the Fringe. Written, directed, produced, and performed by Cameron Jones, it tells a classic tragedy rise and fall story. Sounds simple. But like most successful and incredible things, it's not the 'what', it's the 'how'.... Jones tells his story using physical theater. It is a non stop, high intensity, 35 minutes of jump rope, headstands, dancing, and clownish antics that perfectly transports us to the fast paced world of 1980's business. Jones has clearly had some impressive training background with 'Euro' style theater making; as most of the performance sits in the realm of clown or buffon. But what is spectacular about this 'larger than life' performance is that it is completely grounded and balanced by the man at the center of this true story. We find ourselves laughing the whole way through this 35 minutes, but while we laugh, Jones crams some pretty potent messages down our throat, and only when the final act closed, did he deliver a final blow to our gut, that left the majority of the audience in tears, and I witnessed a well deserved standing ovation. Go see this if you want to see some true and honest theater making! I wish the best for the rest of the season to the young New Zealand man! -R

High Rise is 30 minutes of your life that you won't regret. It's a high energy show incredibly well acted and when I went it was standing ovation. I reckon it's one of the best pieces I've seen for a while. It's performed, written and produced by a New Zealand actor Cameron Jones and well worth supporting. Only 3 performances left this week. Don't miss it!
