She toured as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, was Lucy in the recording of You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, starred on Broadway in The Education Of Hyman Kaplan and Off-Broadway as Molly Picon in Picon Pie, was a regular on TV’S Love American Style and Curiosity Shop, with numerous appearances over the years on The Danny Kaye Show, The Tonight Show, The Merv Griffin Show, The Tosh O Show and most recently, HBO’s Getting On. Most recently, she played both Off-Broadway and Los Angeles in Don’t Leave it All to Your Children.

"She’s certainly a charming songstress, and as a portrait of a true survivor, the show is delightful, though its dramatic heft is modest at best."
"She is the woman in this one woman show “I’m Not Famous,” and when she’s not speaking profound words of wisdom she’s either singing or dancing to communicate the incredible nature of her amazing life’s journey."
"Who says Barbara Minkus is not famous? Not I, for sure! This adorable and talented actress has been around for quite some time, and if you don’t know who she is, you are missing a lot! She has personality-plus, a terrific voice, and you can find out all about her in her one person musical, entitled I‘m Not Famous, A Musical Journey With Barbara Minkus at the Santa Monica Playhouse."
"Minkus is brilliant at storytelling and wraps each segment of her life up with a song that will blow the roof off any theatre."
"Barbara Minkus serves up a very delightful & entertaining one woman show...she’s really terrific & a great story teller & sings beautifully as well - the classy show is very inspiring and well put together with director and co-writer Susan Morgenstern."
