I can't speak more highly of the experience I had watching Gabriela Sosa perform "Love in the Time of Taksim." From beginning to end, I was captivated, entertained and educated through the telling of her personal story of being a climate activist, her pursuit of former Vice President Al Gore and the magic that occurred in the streets of Istanbul during the 2013 protests at Taksim Square. Her one-woman show was poignant, powerful, funny and sexy. If you weren't aware of climate change before this show, Gabriela's story will help you shift your perspective, and show you how exciting being part of the movement can be! Gabriela is convincing, witty, clever, fun to watch on stage and overall an excellent storyteller. Brava, girlfriend!

A lovely piece of work, which engaged us non-stop. Gabriela Sosa launches into the story with an erotically charged character who becomes a climate activist because of a crush on Al Gore. This tosses her into emotional and political difficulties at a Climate Reality event in Taksim, Turkey, where sex, love and rebellion vie for which can disrupt her life the most. Hard to tell the winner, except maybe the audience, who left still laughing and plenty energized to take on the climate crises. Wonderful evening!

An Al- Gorical commentary featuring a timeless Turkish almost love story set against the backdrop of uncivil rest. Gabriela pulls off this one woman show like most of us pull off socks. But it doesn't. Doesn't sock I mean. It's a nonstop high energy climate changing adventure into the mind and memory of its certifiably crazy- good star writer/ performer. I walked out needing both a cigarette and a shower.

This show blew me away. It grabbed me from the first minute and I was drawn in by the story and the performance. It was hilarious one minute and heart-wrenching and profound the next. Gabriela Sosa, who is a remarkable performance artist keeps the story moving between her performance and with the audio and visual enhancements. I wanted to know more and more! One of the most entertaining hours I've spent in a theater! This show is a must see!
