On December 16, 1773, in the midst of the Boston Tea Party, Martha Washington killed a British solider and ran to her friends for help. This is the previously unknown (and slightly untrue) story of how the wives of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, and Franklin banded together to start a Revolution. Written by Corinne Mestemacher and Directed by Matt Ritchey.

Director Matt Ritchey does an able job keeping the farce moving at a farce's pace, weaving the yelps, the cover-ups, the tumbles, and stamping the show with some rewarding sight gags...Recommended

Wonderfully directed by Matt Richey, the show was well done with great pacing and laughs...Definitely worth seeing. Check it out if it receives an extension.

I went to this play with a girl who knew one of the actresses and had no knowledge of what I was walking into, but I will say it is such a great time! I found myself laughing throughout. It was pretty short, but my stomach hurt at the end of it. A perfect Fringe play.

What can I say but Ha Ha Ha! A hilarious and decidedly feminine take on our history as a country. Sadly these women have been left out of the story for to long. However, "Martha Washington.." gives them a voice I bet they would be proud of.

It sounds pretty repetitive after reading the other reviews about this show, but I have to agree. This play is a hoot and such a great time!

This play is exactly what the title says. It's the fictional story of Martha Washington and her fellow founding mothers on the night of the Boston Tea Party. It's a famous historical event as told by the women. Consider it the anti-Hamilton and you'll have a great time.

Great fun! Wish it was longer so I could see more from the characters. The point of view that's created is so interesting. You never really get stories about the First Ladies outside of a History Channel special and those are never this entertaining! Go now, you won't be disappointed

Sooooo funny! This play was a genuine hoot! The writing by Corinne Mestemacher was fabulous! Corinne was also great as Martha Jefferson and her girl squad of actresses including Megan Baker (Deb Reed), Katie Stephens(Martha Washington), and Laura Lee Walsh (Dolley madison) were on point! If you like Bridesmaids and Drunk History this is the show for you

This show was fantastic fun! A whitty and poignant look into the lives of women - both past and present. Deals with complex male and female relationships in a hilarious fashion! The writing was strong and structured with a pretty bow tying all the story lines together. I expect great things from the writer and performers of this piece. It's only 35 min so you definitely have the time to see this one before Fringe is over (however I wouldn't be surprised to see this show's life continue after Fringe).
