WINNER of the 2016 NNPN Smith Prize for Political Theatre, Ripe Frenzy submerges us in the before, during and after of a mass shooting in a small-town high school theatre, during opening night of its 40th production of Our Town. Told from the perspective of the mothers of the town, the play questions our own culpability in the perpetuation of mass shootings in our country.

RIPE FRENZY is produced at Greenway Court Theatre as a part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Other partnering theaters are New Repertory Theatre (MA) and Synchronicity Theatre (GA). For more information please visit nnpn.org

"Under any circumstances, this powerful piece is bound to hit hard. In Saturday's charged atmosphere, it was delivered with tears on stage and sniffles in the audience. The Greenway Arts Alliance presentation builds to this level with restraint, lyricism and even beauty."
