THEATRE REVIEW #791 – The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
“A Haunting Love Story – ‘The Ghost and Mrs. Muir’ – Is Heartfelt, Charming and Fresh!!”Written By Lorenzo Marchessi
The Glendale Center Theatre (GCT) has done it again and brought yet another original musical adaption of the 1945 novel written by Josephine Leslie under the pseudonym of R. A. Dick of ‘The Ghost and Mrs. Muir’. This heartfelt and loving musical book was written for its premiere at the GCT by Carter Thomas and the music was written by Tracey Thomas. Yes, this version is a very melodic musical - well done!Executive Producer Brenda Dietlein brought together an amazing production team that help create this wonderful love story of the meaning of life for two very different – but equally quite similar alike – people. One has passed on and remains attached to his home (the Captain) and the other a recently widowed woman who lost her reason for doing anything. Along with her faithful house maid Martha and her little daughter Anna – all three discover the true meaning of life and love.

I saw this wonderful adaptation a couple weekends ago with my family. I was SO thrilled with it that I'm returning this coming weekend with my girlfriends! It's possibly one of the best original musicals I've seen. They used contemporary music which complimented the timeless plot! I'm a HUGE fan of the movie and television show, and the writer did a great job of incorporating both while still creating a new story. These actors are seriously Broadway quality!! I 100% recommend this show for all audiences. Go see it before it closes!

I went to see the Ghost and Mrs. Muir and all i have to say is Bravo!!!
Glendale Center Theatre always puts up amazing shows but this one in particular has got to be the best. The amazing team of Carter and Tracy Thomas and Bridget Pugliese have done it again. First with Alice in Wonderland and now Mrs. Muir. From the amazing words of writer Carter Thomas to the heart tugging songs written by Tracy Thomas, you will not leave the theatre disappointed. The cast is full of talented people who you don't want to miss. Kara Gibson's Lucy Muir will leave you wanting so much more and will have you feel all the emotions Lucy is feeling throughout the night. If you are looking to catch live theatre, GCT is the place to go. And if you want to feel all the warmth of a good-feel musical, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is the one to see. I can't wait to so and see it again! 10 STARS!!!

I’ve attended shows at The Glendale Centre Theatre for the last couple years. Last weekend my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of seeing The Ghost & Mrs. Muir and I was blown away! For an original musical this show is at the same caliber as many already existing shows. The contemporary music is beautiful and the cast is brilliant in their portrayals of the characters. The show is simple, yet keeps your attention without getting boring. The Glendale Centre Theatre is great because it allows the audience to enjoy the story in an intimate setting. We will definitely be coming back to the theater!
