"Wow! What a story!! It's not everyday that someone writes a book behind bars with the help of a total stranger without ever meeting in person!!! Stacy tells us her story, this fascinating success story, with so much depth. The show is accompanied by music through her (Genius) Son Derrick who plays several instruments, flute, sax… The live music supports Stacy's words, sometimes spoken words, beautifully! It is also very funny, Stacy is hilarious, and lovable! I loved her and her story and her son! Congratulations!"

"A heartwarming and emotional, yet very funny tale of divorce and overcoming hopelessness by taking a risk. That risk panned out into something truly incredible and inspiring - and entirely relevant. Stacy uses her great stand up talent to draw us into her story with humor and then boom - it became rich with emotion and meaning. Well worth watching!"

"As this story unfolds, it just gets more and more amazing! I liked how surprised Stacy was by the whole experience, and how she just keeps following her instincts into an adventure she never expected. The story is given extra depth by Derek and his playing and presence. All in all, a delightful show!"

"I love Stacy!!! She offers a very touching and heart-warming perspective to realities of single-parenting, desperation and divorce that you might guess have already been over-stated and “used-up”! You would be all wrong. We are always interested in the transformation of our fears into potential growth and goodness. Stacy takes us from the universal truths of fear and pain and transforms us all into humans, right on the spot, which is always more tender and sweet than we could have planned for or imagined. BRAVA!!!❤❤"

"I so enjoyed this story, or more accurately these two stories, that Stacy Dymalski weaves together in such an riveting fashion. Her writing captures you from the beginning and you're with her on this journey. Her honest emotions along with her sense of humor carry you through from beginning to end and it's a very satisfying ride! I look forward to seeing it again! Oh and yes, I cannot forget to mention her son, Derrick's music adds a very interesting layer to the show! Go see it!"

"A poignant one woman autobiographical show show about a woman whose life is falling apart through a bitter divorce, who finds herself and salvation through helping a man in prison for human trafficking tell his story. A moving play about the power of stories, and how in sharing them, we can find our common humanity. The musical accompaniment perfectly compliments the anecdotal stories used to illustrate the desperate spot the woman finds herself in. Especially moving is her description of her son leaving to go away to college. Another highlight is the letter from the prisoner thanking this woman for giving him hope, and a reason to keep living. What I didn't like The work feels a little lopsided. I could have used a little bit more emphasis on how working with the prisoner was transformative for her. Perhaps an excerpt from the book itself that she helped him write."

"All I can say is WOW!!!!! Stacy's performance was flawless and adding her son Derrick playing the music in the background was an additional treat!!! The way she tells her story about the most painful time in her life and at the same time telling a story of a man in prison who is also going through the most painful time in his life and how together without realizing as they work together to create his book, they are healing their pain. Stacy is so great in this play, you will laugh, cry, and at the same time fell inspired by her story and the way she tells it. I can tell how everyone involved from the set designer, to the lady greeting us at the door, to the directing/producing of this show that they worked hard to pull off this fantastic play!! If you are thinking about seeing this play, no need to think anymore…go see it. You will love it!!!!"

From the beginning she brought everyone along with her through her triumphant experience every step of the way. It was doubly a pleasure to experience Derrick Dymalski and his accompanying music."

Two tales of redemption tied into one storyline that held me all the way to the end. Music by Derrick Dymalski was a beautiful backdrop to the performance.
