"A modestly-scaled yet ambitious production with it's share of peaks and valleys, fitting for an exploration and expansion of the OZ mythos. True to namesake, the reached-for objective in tone is more meditative rather than musical, as Dorothy, Scarecrow, and an assortment of Oz's most famous and infamous denizens expound upon, challenge, or deepen our understanding of their public and personal histories through monologue. As there are no current shortages of jaunty excursions down the Yellow Brick Road, I for one appreciated the starker and more introspective treatment of this universe and these characters. Frequently impressive performances and state-of-the-art sets that succeed in immersing the viewer when viewed from the proper angle. Very enjoyable!"

"The Oz Monologues is a fun and unique approach to a beloved fictional universe that has been interpreted and reimagined the world over. Fortunately, this show secures its place as a welcomed addition to the many works that pay homage to the timeless classic and the wonderful world of Oz. Characters from the story take the stage in a series of "letters" to their various cohorts in which they provide insights and, often comical, interpretations of the characters that provide interesting new perspectives into their motivations and backstories. Much of the material is canon to the original book but the highlights of the show are the unique, added touches."

"Very entertaining show and acting was great! I loved every character's acting choices. Monologues were wonderful. It was so fun to hear each character's story. It didn't feel like it was 70 minutes. The production value was great. Makeup, costumes, and background graphics are very beautiful."

"A clever take on hearing the innermost thoughts of all of the characters of The Wizard of Oz, the Oz Monologues is a visual treat and a ton of fun. With a hi-def backdrop as set design the director is able to take you anywhere he wants in the land of Oz and does not disappoint. If you're looking for something different and fanciful, go see the Oz Monologues, and then debate with your fellow viewers who had it the hardest in the land of Oz."

"Imaginative, beautiful and bold. The beautiful graphics of the video projection and the immaculately detailed costumes did a great job of taking me back to the land of Oz again. The characters felt familiar and the structure of the show immediately soaked me into their perspective. It was easy to get immersed in the world provided in the play."

"An ambitious undertaking. The digital projection was very well done. I liked the actors who played the Tin Man, the Lion, and Glinda the most. I thought the sound mix was too loud. It often drowned out the actors. I think the story itself could be tightened up — not sure if we needed two monologues from the Wicked Witch, for example. Overall, though, I found The Oz Monologues to be an interesting and clever take on the classic material."

"Had no idea what to expect and I was entirely brought into the Land of Oz! The colorful projections were state of the art. The costumes and make up perfection. The witches were my favorites along with sexy Dorothy. The Scare Crow has no bones! An amazing portrayal! The flying monkey stole the show! A very ambitious and well done evening of theater!"

"WHAT I LIKED: The monologues were well written and the set/projection/costume/makeup design was AMAZING. What a wonderful show all around! MY OVERALL IMPRESSION: You never get to hear the story of the Wizard of Oz from each character's lone perspective. They are always intertwined with one another. This beautiful production gives us insight into those perspectives and although we may think we know these characters very well, we find out much more about them from The Oz Monologues. Great storytelling, great performance by the actors, and a stunning design overall."

"The script was very cleverly written. The setting was befitting. The costuming was so spot on...some of the actors made me want more, but some made me wanna hold up a street light. Congrats on the new comer Dorothy. She has potential, she just needs to keep in mind that the audience wants an experience "with" her so she needs slow down and enjoy the moment. Tin Woodsman, voice was a bit light and accent very heavy so it took my mind a minute to catch what he was saying. While I'm no fan of villains, I enjoyed the Wicked Witch of East more than the Wicked Witch of the West. Merely all the punch lines for the Wicked Witch of the West fell pretty flat to me. They would have been funny had she had timing on her delivery. Glenda was by far my favorite of the whole show! Kinda liked experiencing each character alone vs altogether as usual. WHO KNEW JUST HOW BUSY THOSE FLYING MONKEYS WERE IN OUR LIVES? Though Mr. Oz had some really good nuggets to give he was a tad bit long winded for me and I mentally tapped out for second. However, I was still left with a message from the production and I'm looking forward to seeing it again!"
