Trafficked 2.0 tells a story that occurs much too often and told not nearly enough. On her 13th birthday, a young girl is kidnapped and sold into the horrors of sex trafficking. While in containment, she meets a young woman who has been there for a long while. They form a special bond until tragedy strikes and they are separated from each other. Trafficked 2.0 is a show that interweaves Thai, Spanish and English throughout the show and utilizes the expressive movements of the body to represent a story that forces audiences to acknowledge the awful operations that are going on right under their noses, in their countries, in their neighborhoods, by people that they know. It is a powerful, informative, call to action in the most beautiful and heartbreaking way.

A phenomenal show. Utterly harrowing, thought-provoking, important and well performed. A must-see. Calling something a “gut punch” might not seem complimentary but it is absolutely meant as one here. This is such a powerfully executed show. One of the best and most important shows at this year's Fringe. I also really appreciated the talk back afterward. I also loved the use of the scarves to represent fire. It was hugely effective. I'd love to see this show picked up and expanded through a longer theatrical run.

This show was really good. There were some surprising dance elements and interesting staging. But also the show has an important message beyond entertainment. It tackles the plight of human trafficking. It's a great thing when theater can inspire conversation and attention towards a real issue. Congrats to the cast and crew for the success of this production!

The day after seeing it, I am still thinking about the powerful subject matter of this extremely well crafted show. The team that put this together should be very proud of not only their high quality work but also for daring to present such grim content in an unflinching way. Powerful work...

WHAT I LIKED I loved the dance sequences where all the traumatic experiences take place. Makes you not only witness what the girls are going through but also the emotions they are feeling. Also, how does Verenice changed from characters and clothes in less than a minute is short of amazing, if not impossible to do… but she does it with such ease!!! Unbelievable!!! WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE It was too short, I wanted more!! MY OVERALL IMPRESSION An exploration on the harrowing story of two girls that find themselves exploited against their will. Very powerful and thought provoking.
